88 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Moon (Al-Qamar) before A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance -- 1 Nay! those who disbelieve are in self-exaltation and opposition. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. 3 And they (Arab pagans) wonder that a warner (Prophet Muhammad SAW) has come to them from among themselves! And the disbelievers say: "This (Prophet Muhammad SAW) is a sorcerer, a liar. 4 Does he make all the deities out to be one God? This is indeed a strange thing." 5 A group of the pagans walked out of a meeting with the Prophet and told the others, "Let us walk away. Be steadfast in the worship of your gods. This man wants to dominate you. 6 We have heard nothing like this in the latest religion. This is only his own false invention. 7 "Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! 8 Or, are with them the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Bestower? 9 Or do they possess the dominion of the heavens and the earth and of all that is in between them? If so, let them ascend the heights of the realm of causation and see! 10 They will be one more army vanquished among the many routed hordes. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Not one of them but belied the Messengers, therefore My Torment was justified, 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
