The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few from the latter. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 facing one another. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 and shade extended, 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
