Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
