The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
