Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
