The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And no trifle. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
