T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
