The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
