Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
