Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
What, are you stronger in constitution or the heaven He built? 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. 29 And after it spread out the earth. 30 after that bringing forth from it its water and its pasture land, 31 And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;- 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 But when the great disaster cometh, 34 The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after, 35 And the Scorch will be made apparent to any one who beholdeth. 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 And who chose the life of the world, 38 hell will be their dwelling. 39 But as for him who feared the Station of his Lord and forbade the soul its caprice, 40 Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge. 41 They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
