Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
