Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 And (as for) those who believe and do good, and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the very truth from their Lord, He will remove their evil from them and improve their condition. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Even so God strikes their similitudes for men. 3 So when you confront the disbelievers, strike at their necks; until when you have slain them in plenty, tie them up firmly; then after that, you may either release them as a favour or take ransom, until the war lays down its ordeal; this is it; and had Allah willed He Himself could have taken revenge from them, but this is to test some of you with others; and Allah will surely never waste the deeds of those who were killed in His way. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition; 5 He will admit them into the Paradise which He has made known to them. 6 Believers! If you succour God, He will succour you and make your footsteps firm. 7 As for the unbelievers, they will suffer misfortunes, and their deeds will be rendered ineffective. 8 That is because they hated what Allah revealed, so He rendered their deeds null. 9 ۞ Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who had gone before them? Allah destroyed them! Likewise it is for the unbelievers, 10 This is so for God is the friend of those who believe while the unbelievers have no friend. 11
