The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 While eyes are downcast 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
