The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the glorious morning light; 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
