Those who left their homes in the cause of God after having been oppressed, will be given by Us a better place in the world, and if they knew, the guerdon of the next would be greater 41 (They are) those who persevere in patience, and put their trust on their Lord. 42 Before you also the messengers We sent were but [mortal] men to whom We vouchsafed revelation. Ask the People of the Book, if you do not know. 43 We raised the Messengers earlier with Clear Signs and Divine Books, and We have now sent down this Reminder upon you that you may elucidate to people the teaching that has been sent down for them, and that the people may themselves reflect. 44 Do they then who plan evil (deeds) feel secure (of this) that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them or that punishment may not overtake them from whence they do not perceive? 45 Or that He may seize them while they move here and there, for they cannot escape? 46 Or that He may not seize them by causing them to suffer gradual loss, for your Lord is most surely Compassionate, Merciful. 47 Do the people not see how the objects Allah has created cast their shadows right and left, prostrating themselves in utter submission to Allah? 48 And to Allah prostate all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, of the live moving creatures and the angels, and they are not proud [i.e. they worship their Lord (Allah) with humility]. 49 They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded. ۩ 50
