Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
