Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 that hide, 16 by the night swarming, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
