Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
