The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
