Did not the disbelievers observe that the heavens and the earth were together, so We parted them, and we made every living thing from water? So will they not accept faith? 30 And We have placed in the earth firm mountains lest it should move away with them, and We placed therein passages for paths, that haply they may be guided. 31 And we have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents. 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. 33 We have not assigned to any mortal before thee to live forever; therefore, if thou diest, will they live forever? 34 Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. 35 And when those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah) see you (O Muhammad SAW), they take you not except for mockery (saying): "Is this the one who talks (badly) about your gods?" While they disbelieve at the mention of the Most Beneficent (Allah). [Tafsir. Al-Qurtubi]. 36 The human being is created hasty. Tell them, "Do not be hasty, for God will soon show you the evidence of His existence". 37 And they say: When will this threat come to pass if you are truthful? 38 Would that the unbelievers knew that no one would protect their faces and backs against the fire, nor they would be helped. 39 Nay, but it will come upon them unawares so that it will stupefy them, and they will be unable to repel it, neither will they be reprieved. 40 Indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you (O Muhammad SAW), but the scoffers were surrounded by that, whereat they used to mock. 41
