Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
