In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 In which are high thrones. 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Surely to Us is their turning back, 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
