Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
