Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things, 1 Who hath created death and life that He might prove you, as to which of you is excellent in work. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiver. 2 He created seven heavens one above the other in layers. You will not find any flaw in the creation of the Gracious One. Then look once again: can you see any flaw? 3 Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. 4 And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. 5 For those who have disbelieved in their Lord, We have prepared the torment of hell, the most terrible place to return. 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 Well-nigh it bursteth with rage. So oft as a company is cast thereinto, the keepers thereof will ask them: came there not unto you a warner? 8 And they will answer: "Surely; a warner came to us, but we denied him, and said: 'God did not send down any thing; you are greatly deluded, in fact.'" 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 and thus they will confess their sin; far from God's mercy are the inmates of Hell. 11 For those who fear their Lord in secret is forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men). 13 Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). 14
