The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
