Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
