۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people. 58 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. 59 And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol: 25, Page 89]. 60 And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path. 61 and do not let satan prevent you, for he is your clear enemy. 62 And when Jesus came with the clear signs he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear you God and obey you me. 63 Verily God is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight path." 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 Await they aught save the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they know not? 66 All intimate friends on that day will become each others enemies except for the pious, 67
