Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
