The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 and spreading shade 30 and flowing water, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 And made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 for the people of the right hand 38
