Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
