The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
