The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
