The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
