Have you not seen how We send down to the unbelievers satans who prick them? 83 So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And We shall drive the Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) to Hell, in a thirsty state (like a thirsty herd driven down to water), 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 whereat the heavens might well-nigh be rent into fragments, and the earth be split asunder, and the mountains fall down in ruins! 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 When it does not behove the Merciful to have a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave. 93 Certainly He has a comprehensive knowledge of them and He has numbered them a (comprehensive) numbering. 94 And everyone of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender). 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 So We have made this (the Quran) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad SAW), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - See V. 2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people. 97 for, how many a generation have We destroyed before their time - [and] canst thou perceive any one of them [now,] or hear any whisper of them? 98
