Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
