Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 He plunged the villages 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
