Blessed is He who placed in the heavens constellations of stars, and placed a burning lamp in it and the luminous moon. 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 The worshipers of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them say: 'Peace' 63 who pass the night prostrating and standing to their Lord. 64 Who say: "O our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell: Its punishment is surely continuous. 65 It is a terrible abode and an evil station," 66 And those who, when spending, neither exceed the limits nor act miserly, and stay in moderation between the two. 67 who do not invoke any god but Allah nor kill a soul, which Allah has forbidden, unjustly, nor commit adultery. -He who does this shall be punished for his sin, 68 The punishment shall be increased for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will remain in it forever, with humiliation. 69 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 70 And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance. 71 And those who witness not falsehood, and when they pass by some vanity pass by with dignity. 72 And those who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, do not fall deaf and blind upon them. 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace. 75 And abide there for ever: What an excellent destination and abode! 76 Say: 'My Lord cares little for you if it was not for your supplication, indeed you have belied (the Messenger and the Koran) so it (the punishment) will be fastened' 77
