and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 These men do say, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
