▼ 25 The Statute Book
Al-Furqaan 6 of 6
Blessed is He who placed in the heavens constellations of stars, and placed a burning lamp in it and the luminous moon. 61 He it is Who caused the night and the day to succeed each other so that everyone who desires may learn a lesson or become grateful. 62 And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. 63 And those who spend their nights bowed and standing before their Lord; 64 who pray, "Lord, protect us from the torment of hell; it is a great loss. 65 Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell. 66 And those who, when spending, neither exceed the limits nor act miserly, and stay in moderation between the two. 67 And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; 68 [but] shall have his suffering doubled on Resurrection Day: for on that [Day] he shall abide in ignominy. 69 Save him who repenteth and believeth and worketh righteous work. Then these! for them Allah shall change their vices into virtues. Verily Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 70 And whosoever repenteth and worketh righteously, then verily he repenteth toward Allah with a true repentance. 71 And those who bear not false witness and, when they pass by idle talk, pass by with dignity; 72 who do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the signs of their Lord when they are reminded of them; 73 And those who say: our Lord bestow on us coolness of eyes from our wives and our offspring, and make us unto the God-fearing a pattern. 74 Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. 75 and wherein they will live for ever: what an excellent abode and what an excellent resting place! 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
God the Almighty always says the truth.
