The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 a guidance and good tidings for the believers 2 Who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate, and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 3 As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem attractive to them so they stumble around in perplexity. 4 Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 You have received the Koran from the Wise, the Knower. 6 (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he reached it, he was called, saying: Blessed is Whosoever is in the fire and Whosoever is round about it! And Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! 8 O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 "But if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 Now put your hand inside your cloak next to your bosom and it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This will be one of the nine signs for Pharaoh and his people: for truly they are a rebellious people." 12 But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said: 'This is plain sorcery.' 13 and in their wickedness and self-exaltation they rejected them, although their minds were convinced of their truth: and behold what happened in the end to those spreaders of corruption! 14
