Is it not plain to those who inherit the earth after its inhabitants that if We willed We could smite them for their sins and set a seal upon their hearts, so that they do not hear. 100 Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee (Muhammad). Their messengers verily came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they could not believe because they had before denied. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers (that they hear not). 101 And We found no covenant in most of them; and most of them We found ungodly. 102 So We sent Moses with miracles after (these apostles) to the Pharaoh and his nobles, but they behaved with them high-handedly. See then the end of the authors of evil. 103 And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds 104 "Proper it is for me that I say nothing concerning Allah but the truth. Indeed I have come unto you from your Lord with a clear proof. So let the Children of Israel depart along with me." 105 [Pharaoh] said, "If you have come with a sign, then bring it forth, if you should be of the truthful." 106 So he cast his staff; and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 107 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 108
