The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
