We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
