The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
