The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 These are revelations of the Scripture that maketh plain. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We shall send down on them out of heaven a sign, so their necks will stay humbled to it. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 What, have they not regarded the earth, how many therein We have caused to grow of every generous kind? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
