Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Poets (Alshu'araa'). Sent down in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
