We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
