▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens - 46 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 47 With spreading branches; 48 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 49 therein two fountains of running water -- 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 In [each of] these two will two kinds of every fruit be [found]. 52 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 53 Reclining on beds, the inner coverings of which are of silk brocade; and the fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach. 54 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 55 Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 who are as beautiful as rubies and pearls. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 61 And beside these there shall be two Gardens. 62 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 63 Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering). 64 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 65 With two fountains gushing constantly, -- 66 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 67 In them are fruits, palm trees and pomegranates. 68 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 69 There will be well-disciplined, beautiful maidens. 70 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 73 No man or jinn ever touched them before. 74 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 75 They will be reclining on plain green and beautifully printed cushions 76 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 77 Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! 78
