The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 you strive in various ways. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 We will make smooth for him the path for evil; 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
