T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
