Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
